Jia 2022

Every year that comes along is a blessing. Whether the stars are good or bad, whether it brings clashes or combinations or punishments, there is always an opportunity for the taking. In this new 10-part series, let’s take a look at the 2022 Ren Yin (Water Tiger) year from the perspective of each of the ten Day Masters. Let’s start with, of course, the Jia Wood Day Master.

Think of a lake. Its waters still and calm, reflecting the rays of the sunrise. In the distance, stand folds upon folds of mountain ranges. A clump of graceful willow trees stand at the border of the lake. Imagine you are one of those trees.

Drop a twig into the still water. See how the water ripples every outwards? Now think of that lake of water as your resource. The outward ripples are trying to tell you something – 2022 is the time to expand your knowledge base.

Indirect Resource is curiosity personified. When it shows up on the Heavenly Stems, it is an opportunity for the taking. It’s within reach, like a low-hanging fruit. To make use of this energy, it’s time to learn some complementary knowledge around your core competencies.

Let’s give an example. Perhaps you are an accountant. Complementary knowledge could include learning to manage databases. Or perhaps you are a content creator. In this case, complementary knowledge could mean learning some measure of SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

This is a great opportunity for the Jia Wood to grow. Given the inherent nature of the Jia Wood which is to diversify, picking up these supporting skillsets will help you develop new ideas and new solutions.

So now we head into the question of where should you find this so-called complementary knowledge? Should you pay for yet another (useless) course? Maybe not!

Let’s look at the interactions of the elements to give us a clue. This abundant Indirect Resource produces both you the Jia Wood Day Master and your Friend star. Now bear in mind, the Jia Wood has a tendency to get competitive when it sees its own Friend star. However, let’s shift that mindset just a tad. Instead of competing, why not exchange information? Tit-for-tat. You teach me A; I show you B.

Whether you are a business owner or career professional, such an arrangement will surely lead to growth for both parties. Again, the interactions of the elements here give a big clue.

Jia 2022
  1. Your Indirect Resource produces both you and your Friend star.
  2. The Friend star then activates your Eating God star which is the star of innovation and new ideas. In other words, through this exchange of information, new ideas will pop up.
  3. So what do we do with these new ideas? Perhaps a new business idea is in the offing, because the energies end with your Wu Earth Indirect Wealth star!

To conclude, 2022 is not a year where the Jia Wood Day Master should be working solo. Given these energies, collaborative efforts will bring you more rewards. So start scouting around. Who has the knowledge you need? What can you offer in return? Make the offer!

As always, a final caveat. Without the ability to see the full chart, I must stress that the suggestions in this article are broad recommendations based on a single Day Master.
