2024 CHINESE ZODIAC: GOAT

If you have the Goat in your Bazi Chart, come 2024, you will have cornered the market on the nobleman stars. Four – count ‘em… 1, 2, 3, 4. What to do with them?

2024 GOAT: PIERCING ROPE AND GREAT MOON

The Goat was the problem solver of 2023. With the Relief God and Sky Relief coming together. There was also promotion luck. But basically, in 2023, the Goat probably gained confidence in your problem-solving skills. At the very least.

Problem-solver in 2023, obviously means that your problem-solving skills will continue to be tested in 2024. But you are not left defenseless, you know? For every issue, there seems to be a solution! The question is whether or not you are in the position to activate these stars.

The Piercing Rope creates fear and insecurity caused by external pressure. Most likely, economic pressure. Inflation or recession. Especially vulnerable are any Wood Day Masters with the Goat in their Chart. Prices are increasing, the salary’s not keeping up. Now, the feeling is one thing, but if it forces you to become reckless in your pursuit of wealth – for example, buying into money games looking for quick wins and easy money – then it can bring problems.

What can counter it? The Moon. This is a nobleman star. Specifically, it is a star of entrepreneurial ideas. What it’s saying is that you may be feeling economic pressure, but you may have some ideas on how to counter it. Maybe start a side gig? Or look into how you can generate new income streams.

This Moon nobleman star can be internal, which is your own ideas. Or it can also come in the form of other people. Example, you are chatting with an acquaintance, and somehow the conversation triggers an idea for you. When this star is available to you, need to be paying attention.

2024 GOAT: HOOK SPIRIT AND THE HEAVENLY YI

Next comes the Hook Spirit. This represents problems from the past that you may have swept under the rug. It represents stagnation. Maybe, things are not going smoothly because you are insisting on living in the past. It can also represent stagnation caused by projection of past failure. And this projection is stopping you from moving forward. Alternatively, if you got promoted in 2023, this Hook Spirit could be referring to the fact that you inherited a whole can of worms.

2024 GOAT: GREAT ASSEMBLY AND THE HEAVENLY NOBLEMAN

The Great Assembly talks about loopholes in your system. Wealth leaking out caused by either hiring the wrong people, buying into the wrong solutions that are obviously not working, could even talk about how you run your financial life. Maybe subscribing to unnecessary subscriptions?

To counter, we have the Heavenly Nobleman. This is a minor nobleman star, but it is considered a wealth nobleman. Activating this requires steady hard work. It requires us to be present and meticulous about how we run our own financial systems. Being detail-oriented about how we spend our money, as distasteful as that activity may be.

2024 GOAT: DISASTER SHA, SKY GRACIOUS, AND SKY SHA

The Disaster Sha represents obstacles. It tests our abilities to adapt to the changing environment. This is a ‘no pain no gain’ type of star. Again, it is being countered by the Sky Gracious – yet another nobleman star in your corner. The Sky Gracious enhances likability and intelligence. The intelligence to know when to fight, and when to retreat, for example.

Finally, the Sky Sha. This is asking you to pay more attention to your family’s health and wellbeing. Something in your environment may be causing disharmony or illness.

I’m not gonna minimize these effects. Nor am I going to victim blame. These negative stars can be quite stressful. Faced with these, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. Hence, the need for so many nobleman stars.

2024 GOAT: HEAVENLY OFFICER

So where is all this problem-solving leading to? To the Heavenly Officer. You are being given a chance to lead and influence. This star, can lead to more promotion for the career professionals, or for the business owners, it leads to a good reputation.

The Heavenly Officer talks about gaining a reputation as someone with the ability to lead people and organizations past uncertain economic outlooks, stagnation, loopholes, and changing external environments. To activate this, focus on improving on your leadership and influencing skills.

And while you lead, with so many nobleman stars supporting you, be teachable, be adaptable.

Because in 2025, comes the opportunities for more visibility.

NOT PROPHETIC IN NATURE

But please remember, this is not prophetic in nature. Also, this way of presenting the Zodiac stars is just one possible permutation of how things can flow. It can happen in any way. Get out there, talk, exchange ideas, contribute ideas, build the relationships, let others get to know you.

In terms of reputation building, what could you be talking about on social media or during networking events? Well, apparently, your external world is interested in issues like stagnation, systemic problems, governmental and environmental pressures. In short, ESG – environmental, social and governance.

If you are an expert in ESG, 2024 is your year to do something that can enhance that reputation. If you are not an expert in ESG, in 2024, should you network, there is a high chance you can meet these experts and learn from them.

GOAT IN THE MONTH PILLAR

Brace for a busy, challenging and interesting year if the Goat governs your Month, which is the career and business pillar. Most important of all, build your team. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when these stars fall in your career pillar. So make sure you have backing.

Allow other people to help you. When we have so many nobleman stars, our job is to be helpable.

Also important to have contingency plans in case of breakdowns and disruptions to your supply chain. Pay close attention to loopholes in your business systems. I’m talking about shoring up or strengthening the weak links. For example, if without that one thing, you cannot run your business – 2024 is the year to find a solution for that.

Be open to new ways of doing business. This is not the time to get stuck in the past. Be adaptable and flexible where your career and business is concerned. It’s not about being direction-less. It’s about the realization that there are multiple ways to get to a certain outcome.

The Day Pillar governs our personal wellbeing, physical wellbeing, as well as our intimate relationships – specifically, our partners.

Here, the priority falls on stress management. Find healthy ways to de-stress as opposed to carrying your stress back home, radiating all that negative energy, and affecting everyone else who lives with you in your household.

Also within your relationship or marriage, some past unresolved issues may be cropping up again. Old arguments, for instance.

Can you choose to be the nobleman to each other? Be each other’s comfort and sounding board? If you are in a relationship, this is a time to share each other’s burden, and therefore, making it lighter and making the relationship stronger – because we become each other’s nobleman. Has external pressure ever caused the end of a relationship? More times than we can count!

GOAT IN THE HOUR PILLAR

The Hour Pillar governs our ideas, aspirations, investments, and the people under our care – typically, children. It also governs our thinking pattern or mindset.

With the Goat in the hour, seems like there is a high chance that you may be more inclined to start a side gig in 2024. Why? Because you feel the external pressure coming together with the Moon which represents entrepreneurial ideas.

One of the more interesting zodiac signs in 2024 is the Horse. No doubt, there are plenty of challenges to resolve, but there is an out. To make the best of the Horse in 2024, you must be open to new solutions.

2024 HORSE: RELIEF GOD, SKY RELIEF, AND TAIJI NOBLEMAN

The Horse had nobleman luck in 2023 but also faced a lot of external pressure to hustle.

Now in 2024, comes three powerful problem solving stars. When you have these many problem-solving stars, obviously, you have problems to solve.

Both the Relief God and Sky Relief are problem dissolvers. They smooth over difficult events.

To support the Relief God and Sky Relief, you also have the Taiji Nobleman that enhances wisdom and intuition. Somehow, you just know what to do, when to do, how to do.

These three can’t work by themselves. They need your input. And the solution is very simple – just be open to solutions. Don’t dismiss anything out of hand. Give every idea due consideration – especially your own ideas!

It is very human to dismiss our own ideas. As humans, we tend to place more weightage on other people’s input as opposed to our own. With the Taiji Nobleman, you must be aware of this tendency in 2024.

These three together is about fostering a curious and open mind. Approaching problem solving with a sense of curiosity and eagerness to explore different perspectives, embrace diverse ideas and seek out alternative solutions.

2024 HORSE: PRISON INMATE AND INSTABILITY

What can stop this from happening? The Prison Inmate and Instability stars. When you plot your own Bazi Chart using any of the plotters, you might find the Prison Inmate and Instability further down the list. Naturally, most people will think that they are not too important.

But in 2024, being aware of their effects is very important. Because these two are the ones that can block the effects of the Relief God, Sky Relief and Taiji Nobleman.

As mentioned, using the Relief God, Sky Relief and Taiji Nobleman, requires us to be open to different types of solution. The Prison Inmate puts blinders before our eyes. It’s a feeling of being stuck – physically, mentally, emotionally. Of seeing things from a very limited perspective. It’s the urge to stand still when you should be moving. It causes inertia and a lack of motivation and helplessness.

What can we do to overcome this? Again, it’s all about the mindset. The marker for the Prison Inmate are two words: ‘No Choice!’ If you hear yourself thinking that, or even verbalizing those two words frequently, it’s time to encourage yourself to examine things from different perspectives. There is always a choice. Doing nothing is also a choice.

Next is Instability. Basically, from your point of view, things are not stable. Life is sometimes good, sometimes bad. This can cause emotional instability and mood swings. This one can be a drama queen. When added together with the Prison Inmates, there seems to be a lamentable tendency to catastrophize.

2024 HORSE: CALAMITY SHA

If you can overcome the Prison Inmate and Instability, the problems brought about by the rest of the negative stars become mere hassles. They can be solved.

Let’s examine the types of problems that you may be called upon to solve in 2024.

The Calamity Sha is a mishaps star. It can cause an outflow of wealth because there may potentially be small accidents, illnesses, maybe damage to your house, or damage caused by natural disasters such as floods. Make sure your insurance is up to date. It can also mean disharmony in the home – basically, Calamity Sha is hinting that you may have a Feng Shui problem.

2024 HORSE: SEPARATING EDGE AND GREAT SHA

Separating Edge also talks about relationship problems. It affects your ability to connect with other people. Basically, the Horse has become a little tone deaf in 2024. Diplomacy is the key.

Great Sha is a lot like the White Tiger. It calls for a more conservative approach to people. There is potential of petty people and petty gossip. Bad if their presence deviates you from your intended path. Basically, this represents obstacles that may stop you from moving forward. This can have a big impact if you are stuck in Prison Inmate mode.

2024 HORSE: FLYING CHASTE AND BLOOD KNIFE

The Flying Chaste and Blood Knife are blood-related accidents. This just requires presence of mind when you are driving or handling sharp objects. And as always, an easy out with the Blood Knife is to visit the dentist. Since blood has to flow… we might as well have nice teeth in return!

2024 HORSE: FUNERAL DOOR AND EARTH FUNERAL

In general, the Funeral Door and Earth Funeral points at the possibility of hearing bad news. They can also mean that your immunity level or energy level is lower in 2024, so more care must be taken for your health and physical wellbeing.

2024 HORSE: RED CHAMBER

And then we have the Red Chamber. Traditionally, this is a negative star because it represents scandals caused by lust and romance.

But here’s the thing, the Red Chamber can be a good Peach Blossom star. Good for sales. Because a Peach Blossom star is still a star of likability and attention. And Period 9 is the attention economy. Use this wisely, it can help improve your year.

2024 HORSE: EIGHT SEATS

All these problem solving are leading you towards the Eight Seats. It brings access to decision makers. It creates the opportunity to become a key person within an organization or an industry. Because apparently, you are the problem fixer!

And where are we heading towards for 2025? The ability to make an even greater impact.

Human-related problems are the hardest to solve, aren’t they? If things get broken, we can buy a replacement. But people working at cross-purposes is hard to resolve. If you are the one who can be the bridge and get everyone on the same page. Do you not think that you will be super valuable?

Great soft skills to have with the Horse in your Month – as a mediator or facilitator. When you attend a meeting, somehow the voices of dissent are muted. Somehow you manage to get people working together again. Isn’t that a valuable skill to have?

HORSE IN THE DAY PILLAR

If you have Horse in the Day Pillar, the indications are looking at harmony in your home and personal relationships. For some reason, in 2024, you seem to feel like there is no harmony in your relationships. Everyone is fighting each other at home. Could be siblings disagreeing with each other, maybe parents with children, the family is no longer aligned.

This is where the Prison Inmate can be a threat – you feel like you have no choice but to accept this situation. And then the situation escalates until being at home is no longer pleasant.

I would love to ask you to be the active mediator in this case, but I’m also mindful of the Funeral Door and Earth Funeral. Managing family disharmony saps a lot of energy. So I’m going to go against conventional advice here, and suggest that whatever happens, look after your own personal wellbeing first. Don’t martyr yourself, please. Because you can only be a part of the solution if you are not a part of the problem.

But how to use these stars to grow? Be systematic about tackling problems in your life. Solve what you can first. One step at a time.

HORSE IN THE HOUR PILLAR

The Horse in the Hour Pillar is the most interesting. The Hour Pillar can represent our thoughts, investments, children, staff, ideas, aspirations and ideals.

Let’s look at this from the mindset perspective. Your ideas may be a bit too contradictory to the norm in 2024. Basically, you may be too future-forward. Others can’t keep up. They can’t accept your ideas because they are not ready yet or they don’t see what you see. Find new ways to communicate your ideas.

For investments – minimize your risks because of the Calamity Sha that may cause instability in the market. Please make sure you have capital protection in place.

If you have the Snake zodiac in your Bazi Chart, come 2024, the most powerful nobleman star is coming to you. The question is, what are we going to do with it?

2024 SNAKE: GREAT SUN

Let’s start with a quick recap of 2023 where the Snake was encouraged to explore new directions.

In 2024, at pride of place, of course is the Great Sun! In Feng Shui, we do the Great Sun activation every year for our house. It protects the home from any accidental triggers. In Bazi, this Great Sun represents the ultimate nobleman luck.

Now before we start looking left, right and centre for our nobleman, let’s take this one step further and put ourselves in the position of the noble person. Receiving noble help is a blessing, right? Being in the position to be the noble person is double the blessing.

Like the Sun that gives warmth and light without reservation, with zero scarcity thinking, with no expectations. When you do that, it leads on to better things ahead.

2024 SNAKE: INTELLIGENCE AND BRIGHT HALL

This Nobleman star of yours is being supported by the Intelligence star. With this, we can do three things – we can, of course, learn something new, increase our value, upskill… or, we can teach what we know. Like the Sun, we share what we know.

When you do that, the Bright Hall kicks in. This is a fame star. People begin to notice you. You shine brighter. You become the go-to person for advice.

In conclusion, with Great Sun, Intelligence star and Bright Hall coming for you, it’s time to stop hiding your light under a bushel.

2024 SNAKE: SKY HAPPINESS AND HEAVENLY CHEF

When people start noticing you, the invitations start pouring in. That’s the Sky Happiness and Heavenly Chef. They are networking stars. They both mean good food and drinks to be had. Happy events in the offing – parties, shared meals, etc. All the fun stuff!

2024 SNAKE: FIVE PROSPERITY

Which then leads us to the Five Prosperity. This is typically described as the opportunity to gain multiple income sources. Which means that, there is a chance to explore. You are being given options. Options are great! The worst possible thing to happen is when one is left with no choice.

And this Five Prosperity can easily carry you into 2025 when YOU will be the Grand Duke.

2025 SNAKE: ROBBERY SHA

In this particular scenario for the Snake, the Robbery Sha can carry several different impacts. One possibility is the most realistic – I lose money because of friends. Of course! If you are invited to a wedding, guess what, money goes out in the form of red packets or gifts. Even if you eschew all wedding invitations, networking still cost money.

Second possibility, you may talk too much while bathing in the limelight of flattery and adoration. So, be smart about sharing your ideas.

The third possibility may come from scarcity thinking. You reject all invitations because you think people are going to steal your ideas. Ergo, you automatically classify networking as a complete waste of time. While we do not have to accept every invitation that comes our way, certain networking opportunities can be valuable to create new growth avenues.

2025 SNAKE: SKY EMPTINESS

At this point, the Sky Emptiness starts taking over. This influence of the Sky Emptiness creates unreasonably high expectations. Big talk. Big talk from either you or other people. At its most dangerous, it can cause a loss of credibility because you over-promised and under-delivered. Or it may cause you to feel that networking is a waste of time because everyone is just talking big, but delivering nothing.

Here’s the trick with a nobleman star. It’s nothing new. I’ve shared this plenty of times. When you are looking for a nobleman, the first thing you need to have is the criteria for said nobleman. You can’t just randomly go out to networking events and just see where it will lead you. Inevitably, this leads to disappointment.

When it comes to nobleman luck, you must be very clear about what you need. Someone with contacts? Knowledge? Skillset? That criteria must be in your head first, so that you don’t waste time.

2025 SNAKE: SOLITARY AND BAD QI

Should the Robbery Sha and Sky Emptiness take over, the Solitary star comes along. “I do my own thing. I don’t need nobody. Don’t invite me. I don’t do weddings.”

And then we end up with the Bad Qi – feeling sluggish, lame, stagnant.

If you go this route, the Grand Duke year in 2025 will be unnecessarily hard.

When you look at this permutation as a whole, the conclusion for the Snake is very simple. 2024 is the year you improve on your influencing abilities. Your communication skills. Your ability to persuade, convince and convert.

With the Snake in the Year, is literally like being an influencer. Of course, the first advice is to network. Because the Year pillar governs your social and professional circles. It also governs your market and industry. Invest the time, build the relationships, start connecting with other people.

What else? Can you get famous this year. How? Get active on social media. Be proactive about attracting more followers. How? By sharing information – you be the nobleman first. You give value first.

Of course, you could be thinking, I don’t know anything. Trust me, you know something.

SNAKE IN THE MONTH PILLAR

For the Snake in the Month, time management is the key. Here, the impact of the Sky Emptiness might be felt. When people trust your reputation, you get more projects. Be picky about what you say yes to. Be strategic about it. Do not over-promise and under-deliver.

How else can use these stars in the Month pillar? Create a happy environment at work! People are more productive when they are happy. Create a warm and vibrant environment where everyone is celebrated for their contributions. It’s ridiculous how many bosses forget to do that.

Still using the Great Sun – make a promise to yourself now – where possible, every person that leaves your orbit feels a little bit happier, lighter, and more hopeful. Not everyone has this ability to make people feel good about themselves. But it’s a skill that can be developed. Being easy to work with is a highly under-rated skill.

SNAKE IN THE DAY PILLAR

For the Snake in the Day, the stars that may have a bigger impact are the Sky Happiness and Robbery Sha.

Sky Happiness means happy events. In the olden days, it means happy life events such as weddings, having babies, those type of stuff. That applies to you too. Maybe you have something joyful to celebrate in your personal life!

If you are getting married or having babies, guess what – money goes out. Cue, the Robbery Sha.

But maybe you are single. Could this be the year you rebuild your relationship with your family and friends? But here’s the thing with the Robbery Sha in the day – the risk of retail therapy is also quite high. Don’t spend money just to prove a point. If you’re gonna spend money, spend it to upskill and improve yourself.

Is there relationship luck in this case? Yes! Because you are noticeable. So maybe money spent on packaging yourself?

SNAKE IN THE HOUR PILLAR

With the Snake in your Investment Pillar (your Hour Pillar), explore and seek out diverse investment options. Be very careful here. I’m going to get very specific. The Robbery Sha can mean investment scam. OK to explore, learn, test the waters, find out what’s out there, but do not go all in.

Of course, from a personal development point of view, you can also invest into learning a new skill. Because the Intelligence star enhances your ability to absorb complex information.

Because the Hour Pillar is also your children’s pillar – you could focus on using shared experiences to build an enriching relationship with your kids.

As always, please don’t fear the Grand Duke energy. It can bring you breakthroughs. A Grand Duke year does bring problems. But seriously, have we ever had a year where there are no problems to solve? Like, none at all? Is that even remotely realistic?

But in a Grand Duke year, you can’t hide. That’s the effect of the Duke’s Arrival – all eyes on you. So the pressure increases. Because you need to step up and take ownership. How you deal with obstacles and setbacks is now under scrutiny. So you might as well own it, and rock it!

But are you expected to solve problems on your own? Well, apparently not!

2024 DRAGON: ELEGANT SEAL

This Grand Duke is being supported by the Elegant Seal. This is the ultimate intelligence star as it enhances your mental capacity, mental acuity, talent, creativity and intelligence. In essence, your ability to strategize and to be innovative has been given a big boost.

This Elegant Seal is the star of the diva. So it also lends a patina of charisma. This too can draw attention your way. A word to the wise, it can be a little bit of a diva.

2024 DRAGON: SWORD EDGE

Next, we also have support in the form of a negative star. The Sword Edge tests your resilience, your grace under pressure, your willingness to rise to the challenge. That’s the positive way of using a Sword Edge. The negative way? It causes arguments primarily because of the Elegant Seal – diva-like attitude that won’t listen to nobody.

2024 DRAGON: JADE HALL AND GOLDEN CARRIAGE

The Jade Hall represents an increase in value. Traditionally, this is an increase in asset value. It’s still applicable today, but its effect can go beyond tangible assets. Make a fist. Grab it real tight. Feel the tension going down your arm. Keep holding it while I briefly explain the Yellow Flag and the Hidden Corpse.

This thing that you are doing now with your fist, will lead to the Yellow Flag which is emotional imbalance. When our emotions are out of whack, inevitably, it will deteriorate our physical wellbeing as well. That’s the warning of the Hidden Corpse.

Is your hand getting tired yet? It’s not comfortable, right? Now relax the grip a little. Instant relief. Now open your fist. Feels better? Way better?

With the Dragon in your Month pillar, use the Elegant Seal to increase your capacity. Be on the lookout for projects or opportunities where you can showcase your abilities. Where you can make a big impact. Remember, own it, rock it!

Alternatively, with the Year Punishment, learn to delegate effectively. Share your authority. Because, remember, the Year Punishment this time is about the inability to let go. You know many middle managers don’t train their people? Because of scarcity mindset. So afraid their staff will take over their jobs, that they hoard their knowledge. What happens then? You create a scenario where you cannot be promoted because nobody can do your current job. Train others so that you can divest off some old responsibilities and leave room for new growth to happen.

2024 CHINESE ZODIAC: RABBIT

I want to preface the Rabbit post by stressing that the Chinese Zodiac stars are not prophetic in nature. They are neither promises, guarantees nor ultimatums. We have human agency. Choice! The annual forecast stars are just telling us that these are what has been given to us in a certain timeframe. In this case, a year. What we do with these energies, is really up to us. Because the Rabbit is heading towards a rather slow and steady year in 2024. So how can we get lucky in such a year? Read on…

RABBIT: SURPASSING PATH

The Rabbit was the Grand Duke in 2023. Some Rabbits I know had a fantastic year. Recognition after recognition followed by accolades and opportunities. Some Rabbits revelled in the limelight. Others, maybe did not enjoy it that much.

Now comes 2024. I think here, when you read other social media sharings for the Rabbit, you will find a lot of diverging opinions. All will agree that the stars in the Rabbit are not great. But the onward analysis and interpretation will depend on the practitioner’s view of life – cup half full or half empty.

Your Grand Duke Year leads to the Surpassing Path. This star is supposed to bring you opportunities and improve your social status. It’s supposed to represent another upward trajectory. Over the past few years, the Surpassing Path had always been categorized as a positive star. Things are a little different now.

The Surpassing Path is a neutral star. In the presence of positive stars, it has a positive effect. But when it comes together with the Sickness and Goat Blade star, it carries health warnings. In this case, the most obvious reason, putting all three together, is burnout.

RABBIT: SICKNESS, GOAT BLADE, SIX HARM

You may have overtaxed your physical capabilities in 2023. The Sickness star represents minor health issues, poor health and poor immune system.

What happens when we feel physically unwell? Cue the Goat Blade. Bad mood. Short tempered. Short fused. Irritable. Basically, not pleasant to deal with.

Which inevitably leads to the Six Harm. This brings a feeling of betrayal. Either you feel that your body has betrayed you or you may have taken on more than you can chew.

From a psychological perspective, the stars can also tell a compelling story. In 2023, the Rabbit was revelling in the spotlight. Suddenly, the spotlight is switched off. No more attention. Like what the hell just happened? Are we experiencing a blackout? Cue the Goat Blade and Frighten Goat together. Yes, some plotters show the presence of the Frighten Goat. These two together, creates ‘main character syndrome’. Acting out to get attention. Feeling betrayed because somebody flipped the switch on the spotlight. So where’s the solution?

RABBIT: REST GOD

Your one positive star, the Rest God, is the solution. This enhances your ability to rejuvenate and replenish your energy, provided of course, you work with it. The Rest God talks about being aware of how you nourish your body, mind and spirit.

This can counter the burnout, the low energy, and the poor immune system. This is permission to chill and Netflix.

It’s not so bad if the Rabbit in the Year Pillar which governs your industry, social network, and market.

Through the lens of social network, you may notice a lot more whining, grumbling and complaining. May be a good idea to temporarily unplug from the matrix.

The Year Pillar also governs our family elders and like grandparents. Therefore, you may want to be more vigilant about their health. Encourage them to be more active, for example. You be their Rest God!

RABBIT IN THE MONTH PILLAR

Rabbit in the Month pillar is a year to consolidate all your growth from the previous year. This is the time to work backstage and focus on creating systems that will help you maintain sustainable growth.

Just as the Year pillar can represent our grandparents, the Month Pillar also represents our Parents. But remember, this is not an ultimatum. Your Chart, your perspective. From your perspective, your parents are getting on in age and getting weaker. So you need to be more vigilant about their health, be their Rest God, and monitor their wellbeing.

RABBIT IN THE DAY PILLAR

If the Rabbit is in the Day, either you yourself is experiencing burnout, or your significant other. In either case, permission to chill and Netflix!

More importantly, be more mindful about how you nourish your body, mind and soul. In 2024, focus on getting your energy level up again.

See, the Day Pillar can represent the physical body. If the energy level is not high, no matter what great stars you have outside in the Year or Pillars, you may not have the energy to go out and grab it. So, prioritize self-healing first for both yourself and your partner.

RABBIT IN THE HOUR PILLAR

The Rabbit in the Hour can be summed up into one word: ennui. Listlessness, boredom, dissatisfaction arising from a lack of occupation or excitement. Procrastination at its best.

How can we break out of an ennui mindset? We try new things. We learn new things.

Because of the presence of the Goat Blade, be wary of reckless decision making where investments are concerned. This is the year to be very strategic and long-term about investment decisions.

Of course, in terms of family relationships, the Hour Pillar represents the younger members of your household. This is the year to be more strategic about what the family consumes.

2024 CHINESE ZODIAC: TIGER

With the Tiger in your Bazi Chart, you can’t afford to stay still in 2024. There is a need to keep hustling.

2024 TIGER: FUNERAL GUEST

2023 may have left you feeling a little under-whelmed. There were opportunities, but you had to work very hard for it! Feeling exhausted, but if you still have some fight left in you, then great!

Because the biggest threat from 2024 may possibly come from the Funeral Guest. This star carries a double warning.

One, it signifies lowered immunity. Basically, you may have over-worked yourself and you are now exhausted and feeling depleted. Of course, if that is the case, it’s completely OK to allow yourself time to re-charge.

The other threat of the Funeral Guest is the ‘follow-the-crowd’ mindset that it creates. In this case, you might feel a temptation to just follow the crowd and do whatever everyone else is doing. If this is your strategy for 2024, then at least please make sure you are following the right crowd.

2024 TIGER: SKY CRY

The presence of the Sky Cry makes you susceptible to other people’s negative energy. Physical energy is a bit low, ergo, mental resilience is also low. It’s easy to feel discouraged and defeated.

Again, self-care is the key here. I’m not going to minimize the effects of the Funeral Guest and Sky Cry. In extreme cases, when you have taken one hit too many, the two together can morph into anxiety attacks. So if you feel the need for a mental health break, please do so! It doesn’t make you weak. In fact, having the strength to seek help makes you far stronger than you know.

2024 TIGER: SKY DOG

Another negative star is Sky Dog. This one warns of possible injuries and accidents. You may be more accident prone in 2024 because your physical and mental energy is being depleted.

On a separate note, be extra careful about your big purchases in 2024. The Sky Dog can denote loss, wastage, defects or blemishes.

2024 TIGER: THRIVING AND SKY HORSE

But if you still have some chutzpah left inside you, a little spark of audacity still flickering, let’s continue to hustle. This is the Thriving Star in action. Traditionally interpreted as wealth opportunities from friends, this is a signal to keep networking. More importantly, be helpable! Have the courage to ask for help!

You also have the support of the Sky Horse. This is a wealth star. It’s a moving wealth star. It requires movement. With the Sky Horse, some element of travel is required. Of course, you can physically travel. But beyond that, think of strategic expansions or forays into new markets.

Secondly, let’s think about what the horse represents in the olden days. It’s a mode of transport. A vehicle! So what it’s telling you is that you need to find or create a vehicle that can help with your expansion.

This vehicle could come in the form of… social media platforms, franchises, foreign investors, networks. That’s just off the top of my head. The shape of the vehicle depends on what business you are conducting.

To summarize for the Tiger, if you are going to follow the crowd, then please make sure you follow the right crowd. And to the best of your ability, do try to hustle and keep moving. It’s important because you have Wealth stars coming to you in 2025. So there is hope on the horizon!

For 2024, if your energy level has been depleted, please take the time to re-charge. Self care is important.

Taking advantage of the low energy levels in your industry, there is room for expansion and growth for those who have the audacity to hustle. Because when others are not taking action, but you are, you have a distinct advantage.

Unfortunately, with the Funeral Guest, I’m afraid there is also the possibility of hearing bad news from within your social network or distant friends. So do make the effort to re-connect with those whom you may have fallen out of touch with.

And since you have the Thriving star which translates as wealth opportunity from friends, please at least maintain your networks! But please make sure you network with the right people, ok? If you detect low energy, run!

TIGER IN THE MONTH PILLAR

If the Tiger governs your month pillar (career and business), try to find opportunities to be a part of projects where you can either travel or work with colleagues from other departments, divisions or countries.

If you have the Ox in your Bazi Chart (be it Year, Month, Day, or Hour), brace yourself for a long read ahead. But a long article is worth the while when there is good news to share!

2024 OX: FORTUNE VIRTUE, HEAVENLY VIRTUE AND PROSPERITY STAR

First, let’s recap 2023. The stars in the Ox for 2023, few as there may have been, encouraged mastery and an increase in self worth. For the Ox, 2023 was about getting yourself to the point where you can literally say, “I’m ready!”

And if you are really ready, in 2024 comes three major blessings stars. These are coveted stars that we always try to activate. The Fortune Virtue is a wealth star that enhances all other wealth stars. With this supporting you in 2024, it is very important to learn to recognize opportunities when they come knocking.

The Heavenly Virtue, also a positive blessings stars, dissolves the other negative stars that haunt you. This removes the obstacles in your way. You find that if you take action to remedy certain problems or obstacles, somehow, the problems are just easier to resolve. Ever experienced that? Like you have been plagued by a problem for a number of years, and then suddenly things just resolve themselves? That’s the effect of the Heavenly Virtue.

The third positive star is the Prosperity Star. This too brings opportunities. Be warned though, the Prosperity star could cause eating disorders. If you are not careful, you may find yourself growing sideways!

How would we interpret the presence of these three in the Ox for 2024? Basically, having invested the effort and time to upgrade yourself in 2023, opportunities are now presenting themselves because you are ready.

Curled Tongue is an arguments star caused by petty gossip. Solid Killing represents obstacles created or put in your way by other people. Crossing Sha refers to relationship problems.

However, the Fortune Virtue and Heavenly Virtue both can dissolve these issues. Your job, is to not let them get to you. 2024 OX: HEAVENLY YI AND SKY NOBLE

The Ox also enjoys additional support in the form of two nobleman stars – the Heavenly Yi and the Sky Noble. Despite the naysayers and petty politics, there are noble help available to you. Your job is to recognize their presence.

With such powerful blessings stars in your Year Pillar, you’d better be networking! Use the Pulling Saddle to broaden your social circle. With all the argument stars, it’s pretty noisy out there. A lot of differing opinions. That’s fine. Let them talk. This is about finding opportunities in chaos.

And most importantly, learn to recognize your noble people when they show up. To do this, you yourself must first have a clear idea of the type of help you need. For example, if you are a Gui Water Day Master, this noble person may come with a specific problem-solving skill. Without this criteria, it would be impossible to recognize your noble person.

OX IN THE MONTH PILLAR

When the Ox governs your Month pillar, do be careful of the perils of internal politics. Here, there might be no choice but to learn to play the game.

There are opportunities, but many people wanting to get in on the action and put their finger into the pie.

2024 CHINESE ZODIAC: RAT

The Rat embarked on a new cycle in 2023. Come 2024, the Rat is set to continue on its upward trajectory. To make the year work for you, you need a sword!

2024 RAT: GENERAL STAR

In 2023, the Rat had the prized Heavenly Virtue, Fortune Virtue, Thriving and Prosperity stars. All of which, encouraged the start of a new flow of energy. Your mission, in 2024, is to maintain that upward trajectory.

In the Bazi auxiliary stars system, there are a number of stars that talk about leadership skills. Among which, are the Grand Duke, the Emperor Star, as well as the General Star. In today’s world, there is not much difference between the three. The one similarity amongst the three is an opportunity to improve on your social status. Which means, promotion luck is available.

That being the case, what type of tools would you need to use the General Star? Unlike the Grand Duke and Emperor Star, Generals are usually famed for their fighting prowess. Which means, there is a need for a symbolic ‘sword’. Nowadays, we call that your special skillset. To rock this year’s stars, you must have a sword – a special skill.

This does not have to be a hard skill. It can be a soft skill. Example: maybe you write fantastic copy. Or maybe, you are a great facilitator. Perhaps, your skill is the ability to train and develop other talents.

2024 RAT: GOLDEN LOCK

This skillset is important for the General Star because it is the one that draws in the Golden Lock. The Golden Lock is typically interpreted as investment luck. But beyond that, it can also draw business or career opportunities your way by giving you the chance to be recognized as a talent in your field. But first, let’s get the bad news out of the way. When the White Tiger and Sky Warrior come together, they heighten the risk of injury. Basically, the Rat has become a little more accident-prone in 2024. Accidents can happen for many reasons. One of them, is recklessness.

Influenced by the White Tiger and Sky Warrior, the willingness to take action has increased. Which is a good thing. Too much of a good thing is when these two ramp up your native competitiveness, resulting in a do-or-die mindset.

When our actions are prompted by this do-or-die mindset, that’s when the negative effect of both these stars become apparent. White Tiger brings petty people and gossip. Sky Warrior can even cause a loss of reputation.

2024 RAT: SALTY POOL AND PEELING HEAD

Before we talk about how to flip these two important action-taking stars into the positive, let’s see what the underlying motivations behind the recklessness could be.

The Salty Pool is not a completely negative star. It’s one of the Peach Blossoms. So just know that likability has also increased for you. However, the Salty Pool can engender a lean towards instant gratification.

This focus on instant results, coupled with feeling more competitive in 2024, results in the Peeling Head. The Peeling Head, by itself, is nothing! It’s just feelings of unease. Outwardly looking like a General, inwardly not feeling at peace. Something like imposter syndrome.

Therefore, the key to turning the White Tiger and Sky Warrior into positive stars for the Rat is to be very mindful of the intentions of your action. To be clear when you are chasing a fleeting high, or to be strategic about your goals. Pick a hill to die on. No need to die on every hill.

2024 RAT: TAIJI NOBLEMAN AND SKY BRIGHT

The Taiji Nobleman star can help provide much-needed clarity. Unlike other nobleman stars, this is a spiritual nobleman. It improves wisdom and intuitiveness. If you allow it, it can change your perspectives and how you see things. With this in your quadrant, there is also a chance that you can learn from a guru or teacher. How can you help the Taiji Nobleman along? Practice mindfulness.

The presence of the Sky Bright is also a boon. This is an intelligence star that can support any of the other positive stars by enhancing your creativity, analytical skills, and talents.

For those born in the year of the Rat, your industry is looking extremely vibrant this year. The industry is looking for leaders with specific skillsets. Your job is to sell your skills and start to build that trust.

2024 CHINESE ZODIAC: PIG

In 2024, quite a number of the Zodiac signs are making a comeback. And the Pig… is one of them!

2024 PIG: DRAGON VIRTUE AND EMPEROR STAR

First, a quick recap of 2023. Not the most pleasant of years, but breakthrough was possible. 2023 was a rather ‘combative’ year for the Pig.

For some Pigs, 2023 may have felt like a year where you permanently have your dukes up. You can put your dukes down now. Because in 2024, into your quadrant, comes two mega positive stars – the Dragon Virtue and the Emperor Star.

The Dragon Virtue is one of the prized auxiliary stars. Essentially, it is a powerful blessings star. It brings nobleman support and helps to smooth the way for us. It is also the ultimate game-changer that helps turn a negative situation into positive outcome. This alone can negate the effects of the negative stars and accentuate the effects of the positive stars, especially the Emperor Star.

The Emperor Star is a leadership star. It spotlights your leadership ability and how skilled you are at rallying the troops.

Which means that 2024 will be the year to build up your reputation and trust. More on that when we get to the different pillars.

2024 PIG: RED MATCHMAKER AND STUDY HALL

The Red Matchmaker is a Peach Blossom star. It enhances your likability and approval ratings.

The Study Hall is a minor intelligence star. For students, this brings exam luck. For working adults, this is enhanced learning capacities. Basically, you enjoy better mental clarity in 2024.

This is the point where we want to stop. Notice the dotted lines to the negative stars? We want to halt our effects right here. Because there is a hidden danger in this permutation. The combative stars in 2023, leading into the Emperor star in 2024, can create an ongoing me-against-the-world mindset.

2024 PIG: DEATH GOD AND HEAVENLY OFFICER CHARM

Therefore, 2024 is not the time to get arrogant about taking risks. It’s not the time to be greedy and reckless. Instead, listen to your ministers, and be strategic about taking calculated risks.

If the Pig is in your Month Pillar which governs your career and working environment, there are two possible permutations. Either you improve your leadership skills or you become an expert contributor.

The presence of the Dragon Virtue here can revive a flagging and stagnating career life. Your career is being given a new breath of life. Along with the Emperor star, is an opportunity to become of the key persons in your organization.

You can use these stars to improve your ability to use authority and to delegate.

If leadership is not your cup of tea, the other possible route is to upskill in order to become a valuable solo contributor who does not need to lead the team. If you’re going this route, please make sure the compensation is equal to the effort.

PIG IN THE DAY PILLAR

What if the Pig is in your Day Pillar? After all, this is the pillar that governs your personal wellbeing and personal relationships.

If you are single and available, it’s time to put your best foot forward and get out there into the dating scene. Be aware of the energy you radiate. What kind of vibes are you giving out?

2024 CHINESE ZODIAC: DOG – THE YEAR OF TRANSFORMATION

It’s that time of year again, where we eagerly anticipate the arrival of 2024, the Year of the Wood Dragon. This year holds particular significance as it marks the official commencement of Period 9, symbolizing a fresh start and new opportunities. For those of you with the Dog in your Bazi Charts, a time of change dawns!

2024 DOG: YEAR BREAKER

In retrospect, 2023 provided the Dog with numerous chances to accumulate resources – be it wealth, knowledge, skills, or connections. These were preparations for the transformative year ahead, 2024, known as the Year of Transformation.

However, there’s no need to dread this transformative period; think of it as the universe’s gentle nudge urging you to embark on the next phase of your life. It’s time for a change, an opportunity to revamp your life’s trajectory.

Different clashes yield different effects. In the case of the Dragon-Dog clash, it’s akin to two mountains colliding, resulting in an avalanche of challenges. Just like clearing away boulders, handling this clash involves strategic change management through smaller, impactful actions.

If the Dog is in your Day Pillar, 2024 is the perfect year to inject more excitement into your life (Heavenly Horse). Traditionally, the Day Pillar governs our spouse and personal relationships. But today, especially with Period 9, the Day Pillar also governs our personal wellbeing.
