QIMEN STRATEGIES: APRIL 2023

The dynamic art of Qimendunjia is excellent for short-term tactics and strategies. While monthly Bazi strategies are great for activities aimed at the strongest energy of the month, Qimen brings a psychological layer into the picture. In short, my chart; my perspective. Read on for the April 2023 Qimen Strategies.

The following description is the likely opportunities or challenges that you may experience in those sectors of your life in April 2023.

SOUTHEAST: PRIORITIZE THE IMMEDIATE PROBLEMS

The Southeast palace is not exactly pleasant in April 2023. The Sitting Palace Structure meeting the Death Door creates a scenario where you could feel a distinctive lack of support. At a psychological level, this structure creates a me-against-the-world mentality, one where you find yourself battling against a number of obstructions, hindrances, and worst of all, red tape and bureaucracy!

This is not the time for long-term play. Before you look too far ahead, April is the month to hunker down and dismantle your immediate obstacles first. The arrival of the White Tiger into one of your key palaces heralds a tendency for over-exertion. In a scenario where constant fire fighting is the order of your days, learning to prioritize between the urgent and the important can help you conserve your energies for the long haul.

SOUTH: A REPUTATION FOR DIPLOMACY

What should have been easy-peasy has turned stressful due to the opinions of other people. Many other people. You might find yourself stressing out there are simply too many conflicting information and agendas.

This is where your diplomacy skills come into play. April 2023 could be the month for you to gain a reputation as someone who can bring different agendas together and create win-win solutions for all.

That would be the ultimate use of the South Palace in April 2023. At a personal level, this could be the month to put your filter in place and learn that not all opinions are created equal.

SOUTHWEST: WHEN THE DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY OPEN

You’ve been working hard since the beginning of 2023, and the doors of opportunities are finally cracking open. You have the knowledge, the execution abilities, and the support. This is a good time to set your plan into action.

To keep your competitive edge, there is, however, some cautions from the April 2023 Qimen Chart. There is a distinct need to manage and be strategic about the amount of information you are releasing to the public.

WEST: MISDIRECTION AT ITS FINEST

From a Qimen perspective, the West sector in 2023 is a particularly contentious sector. More so if this governs any of your key palaces. Perhaps you find yourself tiring of all the power struggles and endless bickering? Fed up with the ongoing arguments, do you find yourself drawn to short cuts and unconventional means to get what you want?

Before we get any further, let me stress again that Qimen is a system developed for the business of war! And this system was created to win by any means necessary.

Having shared that caveat, the West sector in April 2023 is good for misdirections. To suss out the true intentions of others without revealing your own. In essence, it is about doing something to provoke a response from your opponents, thereby revealing their true intention. Another interpretation is to create something that will cause confusion and disrupt their thinking. Misdirection at its finest!

NORTHWEST: SHORT-TERM MILESTONES IS THE KEY TO INCREMENTAL CHANGE

Humans are funny creatures. We complain when things are not going our way. But at the same time, we get suspicious when things are going too smoothly. If the Northwest governs one of your key Qimen palaces, this may be the condition you are feeling in April 2023. Things are in place. Everything is supposed to be moving smoothly. But somehow, you feel sluggish.

There is a reluctance here to leave your comfort zone. Perhaps it is out of a misplaced sense of loyalty. Perhaps you have become too invested into a certain status quo. Or perhaps your plans are just so big, that they scare you.

April 2023 is a good month to break that big plan down into smaller goals and then focus your energies to crush each goal systematically. Change is unsustainable when you try to go too big. Smaller, short-term goals are easier on the psyche, and helps you create change in a gradual manner.

And if it’s encouragement you need, there is a Green Dragon Returns formation in the Northwest to bring an additional oomph to your efforts!

NORTH: OVERCOMING MARKET SATURATION

If the North sector governs one of your key Qimen palaces, you may find yourself grappling with an oversaturated market in April 2023. As opposed to digging in and waiting for the month to past, the energies of the April 2023 Qimen Chart brings an opportunity to revitalize your business or career by making a conscious effort to re-brand and effectively create a new market for your services.

This reboot can come in the form of revising your pricing strategy through competitor research, or by simply creating a new niche for yourself to reach a different type of consumers.

NORTHEAST: RESOURCE PLANNING

The Northeast sector in April 2023 encourages research and resource planning. Ideally, this activity should include the all-important contingency planning for yourself and your business. The arrival of the 9 Earth into this sector brings a bit of a slow build. So if you are the impatient type, April may feel a little too slow for your liking. Being persistent is the key here.

EAST: PRIMING YOUR MIND

If the East sector governs any of your key Qimen palaces, April 2023 is a good month to focus on personal brand building activities. It’s time to stop hiding behind the scenes and step into the spotlight, even if the spotlight is a scary place for you.

It’s common knowledge among professionals that if you want to get promoted, you start acting like you are already in that position. It’s not so much about fooling others. It’s about priming your own mind. Likewise, if you aspire to be an entrepreneur, start thinking, acting and talking like one. Eventually, you will find that you have morphed into that version of yourself – of who you aspire to be.

Layer 4: Infusing the characteristics of the 5 Elements into the role they play. This is more Bazi skewed and the learning goal is to determine general characteristics based on the play of the 5 Elements in the Chart.
Layer 5: Predictive analysis using the 5 Elements. Admittedly, this is more for seasoned practitioners.

2023 QIMEN FORECAST

I’m sure most of you would have realized by now that Chinese Metaphysics employs a lot of ‘layering’. Be it Bazi, Feng Shui or Qimendunjia, it’s always nuggets of information that when put together, forms a whole picture.

Must it always be this complex, I hear you ask? In truth, we humans are complex. We humans have our layers too! Anything less than layers will require boxing each and every one of us into tightly-labelled packages – neat, but perhaps a little restricting?

In the past weeks, I have shared a series of suggestions for each of the 10 Day Masters to get aligned with the energies that the 2023 Year of the Water Rabbit offers. In this post, let’s look at what the 2023 Qimen chart offers.

2023 QIMEN FORECAST – EAST: FORWARD-LOOKING

With the arrival of the 9 Heavens in this sector, the East is a particularly forward-looking palace in 2023. Straight off the bat, this makes it a great year for goal-setting, especially if the East governs either your Destiny Palace, Wealth or Career palaces.

But goal-setting is just one particular activity. What can you do in the immediate year while keeping an eye on the future? Learn to negotiate. The arrival of the Ambassador star calls for a need to negotiate. Along with the expansive Harm door, it calls to mind the image of an ambassador or diplomat at the negotiation table – offering, counter-offering, persuading, wheeling and dealing.

However, do be aware of the potential for miscommunications. The Gui and Ji forms a formation known as the Elegant Seal Earth Door which denotes blocked messages or news, or even the possibility of seeing your plans open to other people’s influence.

Put together, the formation suggests the need to be willing to give up something in the here and now, in exchange for gaining something else in the future. An example of this scenario would be someone taking a hiatus from work to go back to school for more education – thereby, giving up the present income with the intention of earning more in the future.

2023 QIMEN FORECAST – SOUTHEAST: STOCK-TAKING

If your Destiny, Career or Wealth palace resides in the South East, 2023 is a time for some stock taking. With the coming of the Destructor star, change is afoot. But before you can deal with changes, it is best to know what weapons you have in your arsenal. Do you have enough resources? Is your knowledge up to date? The Delusion door carries a warning – sticking your head into the sand and hoping that things will stay just as they are will be detrimental in the long run.

Now I’d like to stress that the Destructor star does not always carry negative connotations. True, as humans, we still don’t like change. But the world is constantly changing around us. The coming of the Destructor star paired with the 9 Earth which governs current resources does not always mean that your resources are about to be drained. Instead, it could also mean that some opportunities may open up to you in 2023, and you need to know what you have in order to take advantage of those opportunities.

I also note that there are 2 Death and Emptiness in the South East. As scary as the name may sound, think of these as voids. They suggest a feeling of emptiness and hollowness, of something lacking in spite of your recent achievements.

Hence, the need to take stock. With a true understanding of your resources at hand, you will be able to craft your onwards journey. Continuity is achieved through constant movement. True endurance is not about staying still. It’s about staying true to your purpose but being flexible enough to be actively changing to the times.

2023 QIMEN FORECAST – SOUTH: THE BRANDING PALACE

If you are someone who works in the influencing sphere, and your Destiny, Career or Wealth palace falls in the South, congratulations! In 2023, the South Palace is literally the best when it comes to branding and promotions. Because here is a powerful combination to learn the subtle art of influence.

The Black Tortoise is all about influencing minds. Paired with the Scenery door that casts you in the best possible light… here lies the opportunity to gain trust and amass a following.

If the South is your Career or Wealth palace, consider using knowledge-sharing strategies in your content marketing. Give value first. Give information first. This is the first step towards creating your tribe.

2023 QIMEN FORECAST – SOUTHWEST: THE HERO COMPLEX

Most of us have experienced the hero complex in some form or another, haven’t we? I promise, I’m not judging you, but the hero complex is a lot more common than we think. Have we never found ourselves thinking that we are the only ones who can get something done, resolve a problem, or feel the need to ‘sacrifice’ ourselves for the good of others?

Here comes the Death Door together with the White Tiger into the South West. It’s time to end the ego tripping or risk over-exerting yourself and unnecessarily inserting yourself into more drama. This is especially true if the South West governs either your Career or Health palaces.

None of us are truly irreplaceable. If you keel over from exhaustion tomorrow, HR will have someone sitting at your desk by the day after.

Therefore, if the South West governs any of your main palaces, taking the time to rejuvenate yourself is a must in 2023. Think of this rejuvenation as a form of re-birth, shedding off old ways that no longer serve, and embracing 2023 as a brand new you.

2023 QIMEN FORECAST – WEST: POWER STRUGGLE

Geng and Ding creates the White Pavilion of Deceit. A power struggle is a-brewing in the West and things are not going to be pretty. And the cause of this power struggle? Scarcity thinking.

If the West governs your Wealth palace and you happen to be a business owner, please resist the temptation to enter into a price war as more competitors enter your market. If this is your Career palace, then please be aware of the political undercurrents.

As things start to unravel, now is the time to re-consolidate your alliances and make sure to keep your goals aligned with your partners.

However, on an interesting note, if the West is your Wealth palace and you happen to have a business that helps people solve relationship problems (eg: couples therapist)… congratulations!

2023 QIMEN FORECAST – NORTHWEST: PROGRESS

The coveted Ding and Bing comes together in the Northwest to form the Sun Follows Moon Turn formation. Coupled with the Open Door, this makes the Northwest one of the better palaces in the 2023 Qimen chart. Regardless if the Northwest is your Destiny, Wealth or Career palace, it’s almost as if the stage is being set for your hard work to finally pay off in a big way!

Stay true to your course, but there is an opportunity here to continue to upskill… ready for your next evolution!

Alternatively, with the pairing of the Pillar star along with the Moon Deity, you may find educational marketing techniques to be particularly fruitful in 2023, especially if the Northwest governs either your Wealth or Career palaces.

2023 QIMEN FORECAST – NORTH: MOVE SWIFTLY

There are a number of positive palaces in the 2023 Qimen Chart. The North is literally the very best. The arrival of the Bing Fire at the Heaven Plate with the Xin Metal on the Earth Plate creates the Sun Moon Meeting formation which augurs well for success. This formation is further supported by the Flying Bird Falls Into Cave, Bing Receives Envoy, and Absolute Power structures residing within the Chart.

The fly in the ointment is the Rest Door coming together with the Surging Snake which describes a tendency to take things for granted. But isn’t that normal? When things are going well, we naturally will feel the urge to just ‘skate by’.

This is where the discipline of the Heart star comes in. To dig deep and pull out the discipline you need to move swiftly and expedite progress while you have this formation by your side.

2023 QIMEN FORECAST – NORTHEAST: NAVIGATING OBSTACLES

The Northeast palace in 2023 is more about navigating obstacles as opposed to dismantling obstacles. The presence of the Xin Metal on the Heavenly Plate and the Gui Water on the Earth Plate creates a formation known as Heavenly Prison Elegant Seal. While certainly not catastrophic, this formation brings irritating obstacles that calls for some creative fast-footing to circumvent.

But before you can bend or break the rules, you must first understand the rules of the game. It’s not about inventing a whole new set of rules for the players in your field. Instead, it’s about which set of rules can be safely ignored to get the quickest results possible.

The presence of the Grass Star along with the Life Door creates the possibility of turning an obstruction into an opportunity. Therefore, it will be wise to get yourself out there and set things in motion.

A QIMEN DEITY A DAY

Of late, I noticed a lot of traffic into my little blog specifically looking for information regarding the 10 Qimen Deities. I know this is because the JY Mastery Academy has recently been launched (which is a great programme, by the way)… and I’m more than pleased if my writings can shed some insight in any way. I’d like to share a fun idea to quickly get connected with the deities. I call it… A Qimen Deity A Day.

Basically, this idea revolves around the premise of ‘if you don’t use it, you lose it’. So if this idea resonates with you, I think it will add some fun and variety into your day while at the same time, deepening your connection with the 10 Deities or frequencies.

Before We Go Any Further, I Am Talking About Your Subconscious

For the benefit of those who may not have been exposed to QMDJ, allow me a couple of sentences to explain. Qi Men Dun Jia is the Art of War. It is a tool designed for strategy and tactics (forecasting and execution). However, there is a spiritual side to Qi Men Dun Jia which believes that we are, each of us, naturally connected to one of ten universal energies.

The ten QMDJ deities are basically ten different manifestations of the universal energy. They are neither demons nor angels. Like all energy forms, they are neutral. In fact, the act of connecting to the ‘deities’ is actually tuning our own energy into that particular frequency. It is yours to command. It doesn’t rule you.

A Qimen Deity A Day

This is not a challenge. Merely a suggestion or idea to share with everyone. If you find it beneficial, feel free to practice this as long as you want… forever, even!

Step 1: You can do this either first thing in the morning as you prepare to start your day, or last thing at night to prime your subconscious mind for the next day’s task. Either way, find a quiet spot where you can review your day and maybe do a brain dump for the next day’s task.

Step 2: Plot the Qimen Day Chart. If you cannot access the Day Chart, then just use the Hourly Chart.

Step 3: In the Day or Hour Chart, find out which deity is in your Destiny Palace. In the example below, I’ve used the Hour Chart readily available at: https://qmatools.masteryacademy.com/Account/Login.aspx

Also in the example, the Destiny Palace is located in the East. Note that the 9 Earth is in the East at the time of plotting.

Example: Using the Hour Chart

Step 4: Issue a command that aligns with the abilities of each Deity (suggestions in the next segment)

Step 5: As you go about your day, make the conscious efforts to also align your thoughts or actions to what you have commanded. This conscious effort during the day is how you can get more connected to each frequency.

Ideas And Suggestions

CHIEF	Ask for positive energy for yourself and everyone around you.	Make the conscious effort to radiate positive energy throughout the day.
9 HEAVENS	Command for the one thing to happen that will bring your envisioned future one step closer to you.	Make time to create a vision board.
9 EARTH	Command for access to resources throughout the day.	Make the conscious effort to be resourceful.
MOON	Command for knowledge or information that will solve an immediate problem.	Pay close attention to the information that comes to you throughout the day. Be aware of the type of information you are receiving.
6 HARMONY	Command that every person who crosses your path that day is a nobleman to you.	Get curious about people. Make the effort to establish a connection with them.
BLACK TORTOISE	Command for the power to understand the motivations of the people around you.	Make the conscious effort to practice deep listening for one day. Listen for understanding, not to formulate a response.
WHITE TIGER	Command for energy, motivation and deep focus.	Set time aside to tackle the tough tasks.
RED PHOENIX	Command for the power of speech.	Make the conscious effort to change negative words (like problems) into positive words (like opportunity).
SURGING SNAKE	Command to enhance your observational skills.	Practice being present and practice being observant in everything you do.
GRAPPLING HOOK	Command to infuse every small win of the day into your memory.	Pay attention to the small wins. How it feels, how it pans out. Ingrain those feelings into your memory.

Reminders

For beginners, do keep your commands small and within the realm of possibility. This is about stacking the small wins and gaining confidence as you progress.

Also, be specific! It’s like asking a friend to go to the coffee shop on your behalf, and neglecting to tell your friend if you prefer your coffee hot or cold!

And most of all, have fun in the process!

QIMEN: I AM… CHIEF

心想事成. This is a popular Chinese New Year greeting, and certainly one of my favorites. Pronounced as ‘xin xiang shi cheng’… it translates as more than just attaining everything your heart desires. In fact, what it truly means is that your wishes are granted the moment you think of them. Such is the power of the Chief in Qi Men Dun Jia. The most powerful deity of the 10.

Before We Go Any Further, I Am Talking About Your Subconscious

The ten QMDJ deities are basically ten different manifestations of the universal energy. They are neither demons nor angels. Like all energy forms, they are neutral. Think of your personal deity as your subconscious. It is yours to command. It doesn’t rule you.

Next: At the top of your Chart, on the right (see diagram), there is a box containing your QMDJ destiny information.

Lastly: Look at the information under ‘Guardian Deity’

The Gifts Of Chief: If Every Thought Can Become Reality, How Would You Train Your Brain?

The Chief exerts a strong protective influence over your life, much like a guardian angel, if you wish. Here’s an interesting sidenote: in the old days, Chief individuals are usually selected to study Chinese Metaphysics like Feng Shui. Because, in the olden days, the Feng Shui practitioner has to travel through forests and mountains in search of good spots. Feng Shui masters with the Chief are immune to negative energy.

Another gift of the Chief is your strong moral compass. That’s the drive behind your charitable nature, wanting always to make this world a better place not only for you, but for others as well.

Apart from that, unlike the other 9 deities, the Chief does not have a specific superpower per se. Instead, the power of the Chief lies in its ability to make your thoughts or wishes come true. Which then begs the question: are your thoughts frequently positive or negative? If you can have everything your heart desires within the realm of possibility, how will you use it to make your life better?

The Weaknesses of the Chief: Literal Thinking

For all the Chief’s amazing powers, one of its biggest weaknesses lies in its straightforward and literal-thinking nature. Our brains cannot understand negatives. Example: if you constantly say, “I don’t want any problems”… our brain only recognizes the word ‘problems’… and with Chief as your Guardian Deity, guess what you’re gonna get?

Therefore, with the Chief in your Destiny Palace, you really must be careful about what you wish for.

The Chief, being a charitable and benevolent form of energy, also leads to a certain selflessness and martyr-like complex. The Chief is also lousy in grey situations where unorthodox methods are called for. Simply put, you just don’t know how to fight dirty.

How To Awaken Your Chief Powers?

Manifestations work fastest for people born with the influence of the Chief. As such, it really is imperative to train your brain to think positively. I know it’s hard, but try you must to delete the negative words from your internal conversations and replace them with positive ones.

For example, please do not constantly berate yourself for being ‘stupid’ or ‘lazy’ or ‘unattractive’ or any one of the gazillion other negative words that we torment ourselves with. These have got to go. Make it a habit to challenge that internal negative voice and make conscious effort to change those words.

Never ever wish harm others. Not only will these ‘wishes’ not come true, it may even backfire on you. Instead, do engage in more charitable works, especially ones where you are required to volunteer your time and energy. The more you do, the more effective your manifestations become. Remember, the Chief is a benevolent energy.

The Gifts Of 9 Earth: Resources, Healing, and Protection

In the study of Qimen, the 9 Heavens represents future resources while the 9 Earth represents current and available resources. Most people born with the influence of the 9 Earth in their destiny palace will tend to exhibit the nurturing aspects of nature. A little passive, patient, self-sacrificing and resourceful, 9 Earth individuals are some of the kindest and most non-confrontational people around.

Wealth for a 9 Earth person is to be accumulated. You have very little appetite for risk, always craving for security and stability. Hence, your patience helps you to spin out long-term strategies that promotes steady growth as opposed to wild roller-coaster rides in the crypto or money markets. In this case, it is always better to focus on setting up multiple income streams that generate steady cash flow without requiring much daily intervention.

But one of the biggest strengths of the 9 Earth is rarely known to non-practitioners – like Mother Nature, you are endowed with strong self-healing capacities. Powerful 9 Earth individuals make some of the best healers especially those who work with alternative healing. Let me add a side note here: your patient and slow-yet-deliberate methods may not be ideal for healing careers that require instant decisions (example: surgeons). This is how you can use the healing powers of the 9 Earth without being a part of the medical or wellness industry.

At the same time, you can also mentally cast a protective bubble around your home, keeping your loved ones living within that bubble safe and secure. Please DO NOT use any negative words when doing such manifestations.

Say: ‘Here is my protective bubble. Everyone who lives in it will always be safe and secure.’
Don’t Say: ‘I wish my protective bubble to keep everyone from harm’

The Gifts Of The Great Moon: Affinity With Knowledge

In the study of Qimen, the Great Moon is a deity of blessings. Those born with the Great Moon as their ‘Guardian Deity’ are blessed with the capacity to tap into infinite knowledge and wisdom.

However, beyond just the storage of information lies a much more important skill. If you are born with the Great Moon as your Guardian Deity, you have the capacity to use said information, or better yet, monetize it. How many of us know someone who is extremely intelligent, someone who knows a lot about many topics, a veritable walking encyclopedia, yet can’t seem to use the information they have?

A couple of months back, I went on a research spree by plotting the charts of top athletes in the fighting arena and endurance sports like marathons. I was hunting for the White Tiger. Instead, to my surprise, I found a lot of top athletes who are born with the Great Moon as their Guardian Deity.

The conclusion of that research spree was this: people born with the Great Moon can easily replicate processes and with that skill, increase their success rate exponentially. This is your unfair advantage.

Because of your affinity with knowledge, people with the Great Moon as their Guardian Deity tend to be powerful strategic thinkers who can objectively see the facts as they are, without bias or pre-conceived judgement. This is the reason why your strategies work so well in yielding the results you want.

The Weaknesses of the Great Moon: Over-analysis Paralysis

The influence of the Great Moon lends a certain aura of detachment to your personality. Despite being extremely articulate, you tend to struggle to get past the small talk. Of course you love sharing your opinions with others, however, sharing your emotions is a whole other matter.

Practice mindfulness to help you regain your perspective. With so much data swirling around your head, it is easy to get bogged down by the nitty-gritty to the point that you can no longer see the forest for the trees.

Therefore, one of the best ways to use the Great Moon is to command for clarity of information. Command for the wisdom to separate the chaff from the wheat. To discard what is unusable, and focus only on data that you can use.

What happens if your Great Moon gets out of control? Be prepared to be woken up at around 3am in the morning. This is a real phenomenon. Use the Great Moon too often, and you will find yourself wide awake at that ‘witching’ hour. Don’t worry, no spirits are coming for you. Instead, that is the hour where the Moon is at its strongest. And therefore, when you ask for information, guess what time it’s going to come knocking at the edges of your consciousness? At the time when your sub-conscious is at its most powerful, of course!

A CASE STUDY: USING THE ‘DARK’ QIMEN DEITIES

I know I’ve spent the last five weeks posting about the Qimen ‘Dark’ deities. Complete with cool pictures to boot! So, before I move on to the Yang deities, I thought I could share a case study when the ‘Dark’ Deities were used to get out of trouble. This is a real case study. ‘Coz it happened to me.

THIS HAPPENED IN 2019…

Some of you may not know, but my main gig is actually in motorsports. Motorcycle racing to be precise. Before Covid-19 came and disrupted our lives, I spent half my life travelling from one circuit to another.

August 2019, we organized the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship at the Zhuhai International Circuit in southern China. That was during the height of the Hong Kong protest movement. However, due to the proximity of Zhuhai to Hong Kong, most of us flew in via HKIA. In hindsight (which, of course is perfect), we should have flown in through a different Chinese city. But we were so damned sure that the airport would not be involved!

So we had an awesome event. Everyone was in a great mood as we crossed the Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macau Bridge on August 12, 2019. That euphoria was short-lived. We got to the airport and was greeted by this:

All flights were cancelled. The airport train was inaccessible. No transport available to go to Macau. We couldn’t turn back to Zhuhai because our visa had lapsed the moment we left. There were approximately 44 of us in the crew.

Staying in the airport was out of the question. Now at this point, I must stress – at no time did the protesters ever made us feel worried about our safety. Our main concern was, if and when the police got to the airport, they would not bother to distinguish between visitors and protesters.

SO WE HAD TO GET OUT…

The only option we had was the public bus. Just get onto a public bus, all 44 of us. Don’t care where it’s heading. Getting out of the airport was the first priority.

The next challenge was to find enough hotel rooms to house 44 people. Luckily, we had contacts, so we managed to sort all that out.

At this point, no Qimen charts were involved yet. I was too busy solving immediate problems to even plot a chart. The priority then, was to get everyone to the safety of a hotel room.

We went to bed happy that night. All of us had received new boarding passes for our return flight the next day. So it was just to be a one-night stay in Hong Kong.

THE MOTHER OF ALL FUYIN CHARTS…

Waking up the next morning was a different story. The phone was binging non-stop. Everyone received new emails informing us that the boarding pass had been cancelled.

Time to plot a chart. At first glance, my heart sank to my knees. This was what I got:

This is a Fu Yin chart. Basically, all the elements are stagnant. The energy is completely stuck. But after I managed to pick my heart up from my knees and put it back where it belonged, it struck me. My question was not ‘Will we get out today?’ Instead, my question was, ‘How will we get out?’

This narrows the field down to the North West palace where the Open Door is. And then I remembered something from the JY Mastery Academy Course – almost a throwaway comment, really, but something I remembered: Deities are never Fu Yin, never stagnant.

HERE COMES THE DEITIES…

So it seems the answer is to use the power of the deities. Now, I note that the chart showed 9 Heavens in the North West palace. However, out of 44 of us, there were only 5 with enough seniority to make decisions on the fly.

Out of these 5, I had one 9 Earth, one 6 Harmony, 2 Black Tortoise, and one Red Phoenix. Not a single 9 Heavens in sight. No matter. We work with what we’ve got.

So when we got to the airport with luggage in tow, I told the team that only 3 of us should go to the counter and negotiate. Basically, the two Black Tortoise and Red Phoenix with the inborn ability to influence people.

But of course, nobody listens (lol)!

Off went 9 Earth to make the first attempt. Here came 9 Earth with his tail between his legs. There goes the 6 Harmony to give it a shot. Oh hello, 6 Harmony, are you back already?

Then we sent the Red Phoenix. To the same counter. Meeting the same counter staff. Red Phoenix managed to get about 25 seats on a flight to Penang instead of Kuala Lumpur. So that effectively cuts down the group by half!

Next up was the Black Tortoise. Same counter, same counter staff. She confirmed another 14 for a late-night flight back to Kuala Lumpur.

Oh! And here’s a tip. If you ever find yourself in such a situation, get yourself into the departure lounge as soon as possible. Doesn’t matter if your flight is 10 or 12 hours away. Just go into the departure area. Because, as soon as you enter that area, it is the airline’s responsibility to get you out!

Back to the story. So that phenomenal success has whittled the group down to a very manageable five persons. So, off went the other Black Tortoise who managed to secure five seats on a flight to Singapore.

SO WE ALL GOT OUT OF HONG KONG THAT VERY DAY…

I think it’s important to stress. All those negotiations by the Red Phoenix and the two Black Tortoise did not involve any arguments. Just firm, polite negotiations.

As I’ve taken pains to explain in my posts. These are not some external deities (despite their misleading labels). These are latent abilities within us. The dark deities may seem scary. But at the end of the day, it’s about intent.

And that was how, with the help of the ‘Dark’ Deities, we overcame a FuYin chart.

QIMEN: I AM… THE BLACK TORTOISE

Students of the JY Mastery Academy would be familiar of the depiction of the Black Tortoise as Darth Vader from the Star Wars trilogy. I’ve often wondered why. I watched Star Wars so many decades ago, I can no longer remember Darth Vader’s super power. All I remember is weird and hollow breathing!

In general, the Black Tortoise is likened to a magician. For those of you who are familiar with the Dragonlance Chronicles, this deity reminds me of the mage, Raistlin (or to be more contemporary, perhaps Loki is better). It is unconventional. It is the most intuitive of the 10. And, it is the master of illusions.

The Gifts Of The Black Tortoise: The Power of Persuasion

Black Tortoise individuals tend to be very adaptable, extremely intelligent, and very good at hiding that intelligence from the world. There is always a chameleon-like sense of fluidity about the Black Tortoise personality. In essence, your personality can change depending on who you hang out with. You become who you need to be, in that moment in time. With that in mind, for heaven’s sake, don’t hang out with addicts!

In this, the Black Tortoise and the Red Phoenix individuals share the same trait – the ability to adopt other people’s vernacular and vocabular. You are able to change your vocal tones, sentence structures, syntax and semantics to mirror the person you are talking to.

But before you label this skill as bad, most Black Tortoise and Red Phoenix individuals do not mirror with bad intentions. This is a skill that comes automatically and stems from a desire to enhance understanding. If you ‘speak’ their language, it will be easier to reach an accord.

And because of this, your ability to persuade and influence increases exponentially.

Additionally, the Black Tortoise also comes with the gift of empathy. Black Tortoise individuals can easily pick up non-verbal cues beyond the words that are pouring into your ears. You can sense feelings, emotions, and thoughts. It is very common for a strong Black Tortoise to provide the answer to a yet-unspoken question.

The Weaknesses of the Black Tortoise: Hello Schizo?

The world can be a very noisy place for a strong and connected Black Tortoise. Being the empath that you are, there is always a danger of absorbing too much and therefore, easily affected by other people. Try walking down the corridor of an airport. You feel simultaneously – excitement, anxiety, anticipation, boredom, and many more – all external of you.

Does this sound a little schizo? Maybe… but please do not slap a schizophrenia label on all Black Tortoise individuals. They are empaths. They can pick up on emotions and energy levels. But they’re not delusional!

The only way around this weakness is to mentally create an ‘off’ switch. This is a skill that needs to be practiced. For example, tell yourself – when I pull on my earlobes (just an example), I will stop picking up on these external cues.

How To Awaken Your Black Tortoise Powers?

First – programme yourself. As I’ve said before, the control of all the Qimen Deities require positive thinking. Because, again, they are neutral. They are neither good nor bad. They just are. If your thoughts and emotions are constantly negative, that becomes your reality. When you succeed in changing your thought patterns and get on the upward spiral, that too becomes your reality.

This requires practice. Because it is easier and more convenient to be negative than positive. Changing ourselves is how we change our destiny. And nobody ever said it was easy.

A great way to use the Black Tortoise powers is to have some knowledge or training in NLP. At the very minimum, get interested in learning body language skills. Not only will this help you with your own programming, but will also give you a deeper understanding of human behaviour.
