In May 2024, one of the suggested strategies for the Ji Earth Day Master was to acquire more resources. We needed those resources to go against the grain in June. Come July 2024’s Xin Wei month (辛未), it’s time to put your money where your mouth is and increase the social impact of what you do.

Eating God sitting on Friend as the main Qi in the Earthly Branches can potentially bring you a lot of nobleman and support. Bolstered by this support, the Ji Earth Day Master has the chance to increase the social impact of your business or career.
Another way to interpret the Friend star producing the Eating God, is literally, “take what you know, and present it to the world”.
Guided by this principle, here are some ideas to use a month where your 7 Killings, Indirect Resource, Friend, and Eating God are at play:
- Teach and educate others on topics you are passionate about. Not enough time to organize a workshop? Create tutorials, guides, or thought-provoking content on social media.
- Strategize ways to turn your knowledge into a business that solves real-world problems.
- Use your knowledge to advocate for causes you believe in. Better yet, show the world your compassion and commitment by volunteering or supporting charitable organizations.
Using charitable or social impact causes in marketing campaigns are nothing new. They are a common strategy used to show consumers that your business is here for the greater good. It shows you’ve got skin in the game. Many businesses do support a lot of charitable organizations. Most don’t even bother to advertise their involvement. But sometimes, used judiciously, you can create a bigger impact, not only for yourself but also for the charitable cause you support by roping in the contributions from more people.
And of course, from a personal standpoint, the benefits of volunteering are many. The very act of giving pays back with a boost in self confidence and personal breakthroughs.
