Ever watched a few remora fish tethered to a shark? It’s a symbiotic relationship that works for both parties. The remora feeds off the parasites and leavings from the shark, and at the same time, enjoys the protection of the larger species. The shark also benefits from the relationship as the remora removes irritating or harmful parasites from its skin.
Translated into human terms, September 2024 is offering the Yi Wood Day Master a chance to create a win-win symbiotic relationship with a larger player in the market. Most of us, will inevitably find that we are swimming in a pond with larger competitors. Unless, of course, your name is Google or Microsoft (but note the results from August’s antitrust lawsuit against Google). In the tech world, especially, this is a common alliance where many startups ally themselves with larger competitors to take advantage of either their resources or their insights into new consumer trends.
If September’s Gui You is a positive influence in your chart, this could allow you the chance to either stress-test new products or ideas, or identify new trends that your competitors are working towards.
If the Gui You brings a negative impact into your chart, you may find yourself caught up on trivial matters, resulting in stagnation.
But regardless, the 7 Killings is in play. Which can bring potential challenges. If you intend to ride on the trend created by a larger competitor, it is essential to remain ethical and respectful of intellectual property and confidentiality agreements.

Please don’t get me wrong. I am absolutely not advocating that you copy someone else’s products or business model. Instead, a great symbiotic relationship can be established if you can create a complementary service that enhances each other’s offerings.
You could also consider piggybacking on your competitor’s distribution channels to reduce costs.
