After two months of super dry charts, now comes the flooding. The monthly Bazi Charts analysis can be used in different ways. Of course, we can use it to forecast global events, but I believe that it would be more productive if we were to look at this from a psychological point of view. It’s about the feelings and emotions that affect all of us, our thoughts, our words, our actions.

‘WARE THE EMOTIONAL MANIPULATIONS

We see a strong Gui Water Day Master born in the season of Metal and supported by a strong Direct Resource.
The half combination between the Monkey and the Dragon creates more Water into the Chart. This is further strengthened by the combination between the Monkey and the Snake. If Water is favourable in your Chart, this can bring a surge of new ideas, creativity, intelligence, mobility, resourcefulness and enhanced mental capacity. If, however, Water is unfavourable in your Chart, this can bring about excessive fear and emotions.
After all the Ren Shen (壬申) pillar is visualized as a submarine or a shark. Yes, it can be melancholy. But it is also a pillar of deep thinking, deep thoughts, as well as intellectual and emotional depth.

July monthly Flying Star strategies:

Southwest (9 – 6):

The 9-6 combination is known as the Fire Burning Heavenly Gate combination. If you are one of those looking to buck the trend and cause some disruptions, the Southwest will be a great sector to use. Under normal circumstances, however, you may need to be prepared to handle some form of ‘rebellion’. A Rob Wealth month easily creates feelings of jealousy and comparison. But spending a month consumed by envy is not very productive. Instead, let’s use the positive side of the Rob Wealth – the more motivating side.

The July 2024’s Xin Wei month brings you the opportunity to enhance your leadership skill and lead by example. To do this, you could:

Direct Wealth: Roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team. Too many managers ‘say’, but they don’t ‘do’. It’s hard to understand the obstacles your team are facing if you don’t get your hands dirty once in a while.
Direct Officer: Maintain clarity and morale by upholding the existing organizational hierarchy. If you don’t like the feeling of being bypassed, others wouldn’t either.
Direct Resource: Encourage a learning culture for yourself and your staff.
Rob Wealth: Think collaboration, not competition. Motivate others, through your own example, to work together as a team.

In May 2024, one of the suggested strategies for the Ji Earth Day Master was to acquire more resources. We needed those resources to go against the grain in June. Come July 2024’s Xin Wei month (辛未), it’s time to put your money where your mouth is and increase the social impact of what you do.

BUSINESS, CAREER AND PERSONAL: CONTRIBUTE

Eating God sitting on Friend as the main Qi in the Earthly Branches can potentially bring you a lot of nobleman and support. Bolstered by this support, the Ji Earth Day Master has the chance to increase the social impact of your business or career.

Another way to interpret the Friend star producing the Eating God, is literally, “take what you know, and present it to the world”.

Guided by this principle, here are some ideas to use a month where your 7 Killings, Indirect Resource, Friend, and Eating God are at play:

Teach and educate others on topics you are passionate about. Not enough time to organize a workshop? Create tutorials, guides, or thought-provoking content on social media.
Strategize ways to turn your knowledge into a business that solves real-world problems.
Use your knowledge to advocate for causes you believe in. Better yet, show the world your compassion and commitment by volunteering or supporting charitable organizations.

Using charitable or social impact causes in marketing campaigns are nothing new. They are a common strategy used to show consumers that your business is here for the greater good. It shows you’ve got skin in the game. Many businesses do support a lot of charitable organizations. Most don’t even bother to advertise their involvement. But sometimes, used judiciously, you can create a bigger impact, not only for yourself but also for the charitable cause you support by roping in the contributions from more people.

And of course, from a personal standpoint, the benefits of volunteering are many. The very act of giving pays back with a boost in self confidence and personal breakthroughs.

BUSINESS: THINK SCALABLE PLATFORMS

It’s been a stand-out time for the Wu Earth in Q2. As we transition into Q3, the Wu Earth Day Master may find that your existing platform is becoming a little too small for you.

A 7 Killings year is usually about stadium selling (selling to a large crowd). With your Hurting Officer sitting on Rob Wealth, you’d probably need a bigger stage to truly perform at your best. After all, people are already talking about you (Rob Wealth producing Hurting Officer). Not any platform will do. You’d need a platform that:

Direct Officer: Showcases your authority in your field of work/business.
Direct Resource: Enhances your reputation beyond its current sphere of influence.
Rob Wealth: Increase the number of followers.
Hurting Officer: Pulls in public attention.

Ideally, this platform must be created from a robust base – whether technological, operational, or organizational – that can support growth and adaptation. Therefore, we’d want this platform to enable interactions across a larger number of participants.

Given that this is a month’s energy, it would be easier to leverage off other people’s systems (Direct Officer), resources (Direct Resource), followers (Rob Wealth), as opposed to building your own.

CAREER: GET INVOLVED IN CAREER-ENHANCING PLATFORMS

Many of us still think that we need not do anything to promote our own careers. That, if we do a good job, opportunities will keep coming for us. That type of thinking is deeply entrenched in our common psyche, regardless of culture. I guess that’s the legacy of going through Periods 6, 7, and 8 where everything is always long term. But that doesn’t work in Period 9 anymore.

We are solely responsible for our career growth trajectories. And to do that, we need to be actively promoting ourselves. July 2024’s Xin Wei month is bringing you the right conditions to find a platform where you can enhance your career reputation. Beyond social media, there are plenty more to choose from.

Think learning platforms where you can contribute your knowledge and showcase your expertise. Freelancing or gigging platforms (of which there are plenty), that allows you to work on exciting new projects, enhance your skillset, and make some money on the side. Mentorship platforms where you can either choose to be a mentee or mentor. Perhaps even professional communities and forums where you can enhance your visibility and credibility.

In our hyper-connected world, the possibilities are endless. There is, literally, no excuse.

PERSONAL: INVEST IN BRANDING AND AESTHETICS

Hurting Officer sitting on Rob Wealth can literally amp up your desire to show off. You could go ahead and buy that expensive handbag or car. After all, if you have the funds, what’s wrong with that? Alternatively, you could also invest some money into your branding and aesthetics in order to boost your self-confidence level.

Now we’re veering into a rather touchy subject. First, let me say that I’m not promoting plastic surgery. I’m certainly not promoting any addiction to plastic surgery. I’m all for not judging people by the way they look. However, there are certain instances where our self-confidence is tied to how we look. Certain features that make us feel self-conscious. Example: crooked teeth? If using some funds to fix those issues can enhance your self confidence, by all means, July would be the time to do so.
