With each passing month, we inch closer to 2024, the year of the Wood Dragon, and the official start of Period 9. Given that this is such an important year, I thought that I should start my annual forecasts a little earlier than usual, so that everyone will have more time to prepare. So let’s start by examining what the 2024 Year of the Wood Dragon presents, at a broad level, to the Wu Earth Day Master.

7 KILLINGS YEAR: COMPULSION TO MOVE

Each of the 10 Day Masters react to their 7 Killings very differently. But now, thanks to AI-generated art, I can try to illustrate the pictorial side of Bazi. Please bear in mind that this is one possible interpretation of the Wu Earth facing the Jia Chen (Wood Dragon). When it comes to the pictorial side of Bazi, different practitioners will see different pictures.

Think of a tree growing on a mountain. As the tree grows, it sends its roots deep into the soil, through the crevices, seeking the nutrients hidden deep inside.

Now when this picture is presented to you, the first thing that may come to mind could be a feeling of pressure. Perhaps even a feeling of impending additional burdens, responsibilities or even added mental weight. This feeling of pressure may bring about a compulsion to move.

Additionally, as the tree sends its roots into the ground, it dislodges little pebbles that will roll down the hill. These little pebbles represent small actions that the Wu Earth Day Master can take, strategically, throughout 2024. But what type of actions? The Bazi holds a clue!

THE SNOWBALL EFFECT

One possible strategy for the Wu Earth Day Master is to create small, consistent and sustainable actions that are designed to eventually snowball into a bigger effect. Why action? Perhaps it’s time to reconnect?

At a very broad level, this is the opportunity that the 2024 Year of the Wood Dragon is presenting to you, the Wu Earth Day Master. Will there be feelings of pressure? High possibility. How well you work this, will depend on how open you are to tap into your own hidden resources. Hence, grace under pressure. Because in 2024, the Wu Earth Day Master will be required to dig deep.

For the Earth Day Masters, November 2023 brings you an influx of Wealth energies. So be prepared for a busy month ahead. But it’s not about the number of hours you put in. Whenever the Indirect Wealth pops up on the Heavenly Stems, for a month at least, there is a probability of either attracting investors or at least increasing your income sources. For the Wu Earth Day Master, this is exactly what the October 2023 Bazi Chart represents.

The Wu Earth Day Master meeting the Wu Wu (戊午) in June 2023 has the potential to meet up with noble and influential individuals, if you are open to making a move.

Bazi practitioners frequently joke about the Wu Earth’s love for procrastination. But here’s the thing, Wu Earth does not really procrastinate. From the perspective of a Wu Earth Day Master, he or she is not willing to make a move until they have had all their ducks are in a row. In other words, the Wu Earth Day Master prefers to be well prepared and well organized before they even take their first step. Which is fine. In the Wu Wu (戊午) pillar in June 2023, you find your Friend star sitting on top of your Direct Resource. Things are falling into place. The energy is accumulating and you need to start moving soon.

To maximize on the energies brought by June 2023, be open to new connections and be willing to engage in conversations with those you meet. Stay attention to the presence of noble people who may possess valuable knowledge, resources, or connections that can benefit your personal and professional life.

When you come across noble people, focus on building meaningful relationships rather than simply seeking immediate gains. 2023 AND THE WU EARTH DAY MASTER

The year of the Water Rabbit in 2023 is a year of consolidation for the Wu Earth Day Master. This is especially important if you have created some form of expansion, in your career, business or personal life, in 2022.

WHAT’S GOING ON?

The 2023 Year of the Water Rabbit infuses each of our Bazi Charts with different types of energy. Its arrival, amps up or strengthens different parts of our charts. And from there, we can add another layer of strategy to make 2023 a success.

To make this easily applicable, I will share this in the form of keywords. At this juncture, you might ask, what if I don’t intend to follow these strategies? What if I don’t find these keywords applicable to my situation?

The answer: nothing! These keywords represent the broader energies brought to you by the Gui Mao. To use it or not, is your choice!

2023 AND THE WU EARTH DAY MASTER

For the Wu Earth Day Master, the Water Rabbit or Gui Mao, presents as Direct Wealth sitting on Direct Officer. Now, just as most people shudder at the word ‘7 Killings’, many will just as likely celebrate when they hear the word ‘Direct Wealth’. Unfortunately, it doesn’t mean money is about to fall from the heavens. How I wish it was, though!

Instead, the key word for Direct Wealh is very simple: MANAGE

The Direct Officer star can represent Goals. Your goals. 2023 is a good year for goal-setting and to start planning the resources you need, as well as setting up the timeline to realize those goals.
Next, the Direct Officer star can also represent Regulations or Policies. This would be a good year to look into or update any regulations or policies that you happen to be in charge of.
Direct Officer can also represent Authority. In other words, (and here comes the good news), there is a possibility for a promotion! To do that, you need to show your results.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, Direct Officer represents Responsibilities. Managing responsibilities is nothing more than getting organized. It means creating systems and structures to manage your time, tasks and possessions effectively and efficiently. It helps you stay on top of your responsibilities, reduces stress and improves not only your productivity, but also your quality of life.

In a traditional Bazi interpretation, the Direct Wealth and Direct Officers are seen as favourable stars. These two are hard working stars. Being hard working is a good trait, of course! But a tiny little caution: be careful you don’t end up shouldering other people’s responsibilities as well.
