The Grand Duke Combination specifically denotes wealth opportunities from business partnerships. How to activate this? You need to be visible, of course! You need to be talking to people! And most of all, you must learn the art of negotiating! If partnerships are the order of the day, then we must ensure that you get the best deal possible.

2. THRIVING

The Thriving star represents wealth opportunity from your friends. With this star in your sector, you must ensure that you stay in contact with friends new and old. 2022 is the year for you to seize opportunities and responsibilities.

3. ROBBERY SHA

As you re-activate your contacts or make new friends, some spendings will be natural. Of course, meeting up for dinner and drinks cost money! That’s what the Robbery Sha means – the possibility of losing money because of friends. But hey! How do you ensure you don’t lose too much? Learn to filter the invitations! You don’t need to accept every single one! And yes, we’re back to the key theme of 2022 for the Pig – learn to negotiate.

4. HEAVENLY VIRTUE + FORTUNE VIRTUE

But no worries, the Heavenly Virtue and the Fortune Virtue comes to the Pig in 2022. With these two stars, the happy-go-lucky Pig becomes luckier! They are basically stars of blessings. With the Heavenly Virtue, obstacles in your way are removed, and you basically get lucky! The Fortune Virtue, on the other hand, enhances the effects of the other wealth stars.

5. PROSPERITY

The Prosperity star is also a blessings star. As its name denotes, it ushers in prosperity! Again, to use this star, you need to get yourself out there and networking. The Prosperity star will not be able to find you if you are sitting at home behind closed doors. Even if you don’t want to leave your home, make sure you continue to talk to people online.

I’m going to deal with the Curled Tongue and Crossing Sha together. Both indicates problems with your relationship with others. In the case of the Curled Tongue, it basically indicates arguments brought about by petty gossip.

The Crossing Sha can be a bit more serious as it could possibly (and I stress, possibly) denote legal problems. So with the Crossing Sha hanging about, train yourself to be more precise and decisive.

8. DRAPES

Drapes is a star that could potentially cause emotional issues. If we look at the negative stars in sequence, if you are feeling intractable and irascible (Goat Blade), you end up having arguments with people (Curled Tongue and Crossing Sha), and then you feel depressed.

“Nobody understands me!” you wail.

These emotional stars are for us to manage. If we are conscious of our actions and we understand that we control our emotions instead of the other way around, there is no reason why these negative stars should trip us up.

9. CASCADING CLOUD

Final warning! If we allow our emotions to get the best of us, not only could you lose the effects of the positive stars, there is the Cascading Cloud which puts us in a fog of anger and revenge. The effects of the Cascading Cloud is like being lost in the fog. You lose sense of direction. It’s not a pleasant feeling.

2022 CHINESE ZODIAC: ROOSTER

The Rooster has been on a winning streak since 2020. And the good news is, 2022 is also set to be yet another winner for the Rooster!

A RECAP OF THE ROOSTER IN 2021

The Rooster enjoyed a wealth of positive stars in 2021. You had Wealth Stars aplenty (Golden Lock and Duke Reward), problem-solving stars (Relief God and Sky Relief), and authority stars in the form of the General Star and the Eight Seats.

I’m going to dwell a little on the General Star, in particular. As mentioned, this star conveys authority and status. It also came with the expectations of others for you to assume the leadership role. Given these positive stars, 2021 must have been a very exciting and rewarding year for the Rooster.

But what about 2022?

THE ROOSTER IN 2022

1. EMPEROR STAR

You must have gotten used to wielding authority by now! Because after the General Star in 2021, comes the Emperor Star in 2022! Again, this is yet another authority booster which comes with an added bonus, the ability to dissipate most of the negative stars.

Let’s think about authority for a minute. It’s not about bossing people around. Rather, this nobleman star requires you to serve. A great leader serves his or her public. People follow you because of your ability to serve their needs. So using  the Emperor Star is to take on the willingness to serve.

2. DRAGON VIRTUE

The Dragon Virtue can be considered as a nobleman star as well as a star of blessings. This foretells a smooth journey ahead in 2022, with plenty of help and support to help you in your endeavors. Its presence is telling you to be brave. Carry on with your plans and your journey. Help is at hand when you need it.

3. HEAVENLY CHEF

Along with two powerful nobleman stars come the Heavenly Chef which you share with the Tiger in 2022. This is a star of good food and happy occasions. When people gather together, usually there is always good food on the table. Therefore, this can be considered as a networking star. Used wisely, by meeting and connecting with more people, you gain the opportunity to grow your tribe and meet with noble people along the way.

4. BRUTAL DEFEAT

Change management is going to be the theme of 2022 for the Monkey zodiac sign. Will this change be good? Will it be bad? Let’s talk about that later in this article.

The Monkey had a trio of strong positive stars in 2021 with the coveted Dragon Virtue and Emperor Star that helps dissolve negative energies and are basically looked upon as problem-solving stars. So have you gotten used to solving problems yet? Because those problem-solving skills will serve you well as you take on the Year Breaker role in 2022.

THE MONKEY IN 2022

1. YEAR BREAKER

Your position as the Year Breaker will be the undisputed highlight of 2022. To explain, the Monkey stands opposite of the Tiger in the Zodiac chart, creating a clash for both animal signs when they meet in a particular year or chart. In Cantonese, we call this ‘Fan Tai Sui’ which literally translates as Offending the Grand Duke. In other words, you are the rebel without a cause. You are the energy that opposes the boss of the year, which is the Tiger.

Going through a Year Breaker means going through change. This is traditionally seen as a negative. Why? Because in the olden days, they don’t like change. Neither do they like disruptors. How dare you challenge the Emperor?!

But if you are a badass warrior… 2022 could be the year where you break free from your plateau and start laying the foundation for more achievements to come.

2. GREAT CONSUMER

The Great Consumer always comes hand in hand with the Year Breaker. They’re like conjoined twins. You can’t have one without the other. The literal meaning of the Great Consumer is basically, money flowing out. It didn’t say that this will be a total loss.

Since money has to flow out anyway, a way to use the Great Consumer in a positive manner is to either invest, or use your money to buy solutions. You can also use it to buy happiness. 

3. OBSTACLES

Since the Year Breaker represents change, a certain amount of Obstacles can be expected. Change is always uncomfortable in the beginning and messy in the middle. It would be unrealistic to expect change to happen without some challenges along the way.

4. RELIEF GOD, SKY RELIEF, EARTH RELIEF, MONTH EMPTINESS

But before you start freaking out, look at the amount of relief stars coming together to root for you! It is very rare to see so many together in one animal sign – the Relief God, Sky Relief, Earth Relief (which by the way, is great for buying and selling property – hint: Great Consumer) and the Month Emptiness star. All these are problem-dissolving stars. To use them, you cannot shy away from problems. You need to confront the obstacles and take action to remove them, one by one. When you do that, these stars will provide you with the additional boost to smooth things out for you.

5. SKY HORSE

The Sky Horse is a travelling star whose role is to give you the will to get out of your comfort zone. In a way, this can be seen as a wealth star because it brings you the opportunity to connect with people across national borders. To use this star, you must put yourself in a position where you are visible for others to connect with. For example, your social media posts or YouTube videos.

6. EIGHT SEATS

The Eight Seats is an invitation to become a decision maker. In a way, this can be seen as a promotion star for the career professionals. Similarly, for the business owner, the Eight Seats could manifest as the opportunity to be a part of an elite group of entrepreneurs.

Health-wise, the presence of the Blood Knife is something to be wary about. It represents potential bloodshed or blood-related accidents. Instead of telling you to be careful when you drive, etc etc etc… I’m going to suggest triggering the Blood Knife instead. How? Donate blood into the blood bank!

8. INSTABILITY

Instability is a natural by-product for anyone undergoing a significant amount of change. The effects of this star brings about feelings of uncertainty and insecurity. This is a normal part of change. Just keep moving forward

9. TAI JI NOBLEMAN

To end the analysis on a positive note, please remember that you also have the benefits of the Tai Ji Nobleman in 2022. This is a powerful spiritual nobleman that can help you overcome the effects of the Instability star. Using the Tai Ji Nobleman requires you to grow spiritually and re-connect with yourself.

10. STUDY HALL

It’s been a tough old year of the Ox, hasn’t it, dear Dragon? Well, I wish I was the bearer of good news with a mile-long list of positive stars in 2022. Unfortunately, a little more patience is required before the pendulum swings your way again. Think of it as a year to slow things down!

2022 is the year the Tiger takes centre stage. Back off, Ox! The Tiger is ready to roar!

3. DUKE’S ARRIVAL

Your leadership in 2022 will be supported by several very promising stars. One of them, the Duke’s Arrival, can be interpreted as a star that brings you followers. After all, what’s a leader without followers?

4. HEAVENLY OFFICER

Now, if you think you are going to spend 2022 herding a bunch of sheep around, don’t worry!
